In May of 2021, I made a post on the NextDoor app looking for homeowners who would allow me to clean for payment. I had been a stay at home mother for 3 years, was working for a grocery delivery service, and I really just needed a job that would allow me to make enough money to be able to buy groceries. I made the post on a whim, and honestly did not think anything would come from it. I laugh at myself now because little did I know my entire world was about to change!

After that post, I was cleaning for my first client the next day and had a list of 8 people to call back by the end of the weekend. That happened a lot faster than I expected! After I made all of those call backs, I was fully booked out until the end of June. After that, I realized that I had a real business opportunity and needed to make things official. By mid-May, I was a fully legalized, insured, and bonded cleaning company offering professional cleaning and organizing service for the Elkhart and Michiana area!

With this opportunity has come a lot of personal growth. I have learned to stop limiting my own potential. It is when I stopped limiting myself that Mom Maid LLC came to be!

These days have been full of tremendous growth accompanied with some hard lessons learned. I have experienced such genuine enjoyment being a business owner! I have so many goals, I have a vision, I know what I’m going after, but most importantly I’m truly enjoying working side-by-side with my Clients. Feeling their relief at the end of a clean is the most rewarding portion of it all. Seeing the weight lift off of their shoulders. Hearing the words of appreciation come out of their mouths? It is so rewarding, it is so motivating, and it keeps me going!
